#Africa has witnessed tremendous #populationgrowth . The demand for food continues to grow. Despite this, 40% to 50% of the farm produce does not reach the plate. In developed countries food is wasted by consumers not producers in most instances. Thus, #development policies ought to make it easier for #smallscale farmers to access cheaper credit. But why, research has demonstrated that for every $1 invested in averting postharvest losses there is a return of $4. This contributes to growth in incomes thus a better #ruralcommunities welfare. Small-scale farmers, you commitment is key. Let's come together and adopt technologies to reduce post harvest losses like Charcoal coolers for our mangoes.
